This scholarship will make an incredible impact on my ability to continue my education at UIC, and for that I cannot thank you enough. I hope to one day help people the way you’ve helped me, as a physician providing care to patients who work to overcome daunting socio-economic circumstances.

Being a scholarship recipient has allowed me to have an educational experience that my family cannot afford to give me. For example, I was able to study abroad during the Spring 2018 semester because of UIC scholarships. While abroad, I completed LAS general education classes with students from all different backgrounds with a common goal of immersing ourselves in the culture around us. The scholarships relieved the stress of financial strain from my family and allowed me to participate in an incredible life experience.
